Weather + Disaster Emergency Logistics

The Partner You Need When Disaster Strikes

Emergencies come in all shapes and sizes, but no matter what business you’re in they’re always disruptive and challenging. Natural disasters, weather events, or lost electrical power can do substantial damage to your supply chain, customer relationships, or patient outcomes if you don’t have the right logistics partner to count on.

Front-Line Experience

American Expediting has been a trusted disaster logistics resource for decades. We deliver critical care assets including water, equipment, and medical supplies to front-line workers across the country — boots to Ground Zero rescue workers in the days after 9/11, generators to Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and tractor trailers filled with emergency drinking water to Dallas after a devastating winter storm, to name a few.

Urgent Healthcare Needs

A survey of medical-surgical hospitals found that 67% of respondents believed that winter storms were the greatest natural hazard risk that could affect their hospitals — the greatest concern among all risk categories.*  Specimens, tissue, blood or organs needed for immediate surgical procedures, all require immediate pick-up and delivery — urgency is critical to providing results for timely patient care and ensuring the integrity of medical assets.

Backup Storage

When your in-house storage facilities lose power or become unusable, you need to move assets offsite quickly. We’ll arrange immediate pick-up and safely deliver assets to one of our 40+ forward-stocking locations (FSLs) nationwide. If bio-storage is required, we’ll document chain of custody throughout the journey and provide cold chain transport according to your specific protocols.
