Mission in Motion

The Legacy That Lives On

This story comes from one of our own, Brandon Yagelski, whose connection to our mission runs deeper than most.

Years ago, Brandon’s father-in-law worked for American Expediting. Back in the early 2000s, he would tell Brandon stories about the company—the precision, the urgency, and most of all, the purpose behind the work. He spoke with pride about how American Expediting helped ensure life-saving shipments arrived on time, often when every second mattered.

Those stories stuck with Brandon. When the time came for him to build his own career, he joined the very same company that had inspired his father-in-law years before. He started in an entry-level leadership role and worked his way up, carrying with him the same passion and respect for the mission that his father-in-law had once shared.

In recent years, Brandon’s connection to that mission became even more personal. His father-in-law passed away. True to the values he lived by, he made one final, life-changing decision: he chose to become an organ donor.

Through that selfless act, he gave the gift of life to people he would never meet. Since his passing, Brandon’s family has received heartfelt letters and thank-you messages from recipients whose lives were saved because of his father-in-law’s donation, stories from families who now have more time with their loved ones, more birthdays, more moments, and more tomorrows.

For Brandon, those stories are powerful reminders of what we do every day. The work that first inspired his father-in-law continues through him—proof that every shipment we move has the power to touch lives in ways we may never see.
