The shipments we move are measured in minutes, but the impact lasts a lifetime. Behind every label, tracking number, and delivery confirmation is a person — someone waiting, hoping, and fighting for another tomorrow.
Our first story comes from one of our own: Jonathan Kaiser, Pricing Analyst.
Several years ago, Jonathan learned that his only chance of survival was an organ transplant. He needed treatment, and he needed it fast.
Jonathan’s machine, his fluids, and his equipment arrived because of shipments we helped make possible. The machine Jonathan used for at-home dialysis was shipped by Baxter through our Detroit office. This at-home treatment kept Jonathan alive for five years, until he was able to receive a transplant.
Those shipments weren’t just boxes on a truck — they were his lifeline.
For five years, those deliveries gave Jonathan something priceless: time.
Time to hold his children close.
Time to make memories.
Time to hope that a match would come through before it was too late.
In the summer of 2020, as Jonathan’s condition worsened, he took what he thought might be his last family trip, holding tightly to what he feared could be the final memories he’d ever make with the people he loved most.
Thanks to the care and commitment of countless people — including the kind of shipments we make possible every single day — Jonathan’s story didn’t end there. He received a transplant that saved his life.
This spring, Jonathan celebrated four years since that day. Four years of birthdays. Four years of holidays. Four years of ordinary, extraordinary moments — the kind that once felt out of reach. He’s watched his two oldest children graduate from high school. He walked his daughter down the aisle. He is living proof that what we do matters.
This is the impact of our work.
It’s not just a missed job or a loss of revenue.
Every package we touch can mean a future.
Every shipment we deliver can mean the difference between loss and life.
We are not just moving packages. We are helping real people live the moments that matter most. Jonathan’s story is a powerful reminder that what we do matters. Every package we touch could mean someone’s tomorrow.
Together, we give real people a chance at life — one critical shipment at a time.
We want to keep telling these stories — the ones that remind us why we do what we do. If you have a story to share, or if someone’s story has inspired you, please reach out to HR@amexpediting.com.
